Our MD, Tim, has completed the Lap of Anglia charity ride, raising over £1,100 for East Anglian Air Ambulance.
The Lap is a notoriously challenging 435-mile cycling sportif taking riders through three cities, five counties and half the height of Everest in just four days!
Not one to shy away from a challenge, Tim signed up to The Lap with the aim of raising funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance while putting himself - and his pedals - through their paces.
50 riders of all ages and experience levels took part and, despite some unseasonal driving rain and keen winds on the final day, everyone completed the ride with smiles on their faces.
2024 was a record-breaking year for the Lap of Anglia, with £60,085 raised for the charity, exceeding totals raised in previous years.
Tim Shakespeare, MD at Alcock Lees, comments: "There's no better way to raise important funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance than by cycling around the beautiful region that is covered by this life-saving service.
"Thank you to our clients, suppliers and friends who so generously sponsored me. Now to decide whether I sign up for next year!"
